Georgia O'Keeffe

Mom came up the weekend before my birthday and we drove north to Salem to see the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum. Her works were paired with her stunning dresses and suits and photographs of her throughout her life.
I have always loved her works. Her colors and lines are so strong but peaceful. She was so forward for her time and really marched (and painted) to her own drum. I learned a ton about her life!

Beautiful. I love her work as well. I didn't know the PEM was showing her. It's just a few minutes away from me...

How wonderful, Tamar! And I just shared Georgia O'Keefe quotes in my Tuesday Link Up post! Viewing art is so peaceful and energizing...just as making art can be. Thanks for sharing the photos of this beautiful exhibit!

She was my mom's favorite artist. She traveled to NM about 15 years ago to see a place there with her works. Which reminds me that I need to find all the things she brought back from that trip. So glad you got to go see this.
